BrightSky Begins Construction on First Build-To-Suit Single-Family Rental Community on Peachtree Road in Charlotte

December 15, 2025

BrightSky Residential commenced construction on its first build-to-rent (“BTR”) community in Charlotte at 1325 Peachtree Road. Named Peachtree, the new community will encompass 152 townhomes on an 18.5-acre site within the I-485 beltway and is expected to be ready for leasing in winter 2027.

BrightSky, a residential real estate development company operating exclusively in the BTR sector, will include the popular features that have led its homes to be quickly leased at its existing communities. These top-ranked features in Peachtree homes are fenced private yards, two-car attached garages, contemporary kitchens with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops, and smart home systems. Further, 24/7 professional management lifts the burden of homecare for residents.

“Peachtree homes will be a premium alternative to traditional townhomes, an established rental option in Charlotte,” says Hamilton Stolpen, President of BrightSky’s Southeast Division. “We know they will appeal to a broad spectrum of young professionals, couples, families and older adults who desire the advantages of single-family living without the commitment and responsibilities of homeownership.”

Adding to the community’s appeal, Peachtree residents will enjoy singular resort-style amenities including a clubhouse, swimming pool, pickleball courts, dog park, walking trails and extensive green commons. An access-controlled gate will enhance privacy and comfort.

The location, just five miles from Downtown Charlotte and Charlotte Douglas International Airport, provides easy access to key transportation corridors such as I-77 and to major employers such as Bank of America, Trust Financial, Wells Fargo, Duke Energy, Honeywell and Atrium Health. Charlotte Metro area added 58,000 jobs in 2024, reinforcing its position as one of the fastest growing in the U.S. Peachtree’s surrounding area is supported by a robust infrastructure of retail centers, medical facilities and entertainment options.

Homes at Peachtree will encompass two-,three- and four-bedroom plans, each with 2.5 baths. They will range from 1,670 square feet to 1,832 square feet. Rents are expected to average $2,600 monthly, a savings of $1,300 per month from an average mortgage payment for a comparable home in the area.

“We are pleased to bring the BrightSky Home advantages to Charlotte,” concludes Mr. Stolpen.
